Net-Analyzer already told you on your phone who was connected to your Wi-Fi. Now it arrives on macOS in professional form: Net-Analyzer Scanner is a network scanner that lives in your Mac's menu bar and turns watching your local network into a one-click check.

What it is

A native macOS app that discovers every active device on your local network — phones, TVs, printers, cameras, IoT — with its IP, MAC, vendor, name and exposed services, and keeps a history of when each one appears and disappears. All analysis happens on your Mac: no accounts and no sending your network to third-party servers.

Included tools

  • Deep discovery. Bonjour/mDNS, UPnP, SNMP, ARP and per-port HTTP probes to identify what each device is and which services it exposes, including OUI vendor lookup.
  • Visual topology. A map of your network with the router at the center and devices grouped by type, so you can see at a glance what is connected and what should not be.
  • Router audit. Reviews the router's exposed configuration: known default credentials (built-in database), open UPnP, WPS and reachable admin ports.
  • Network toolbox. Ping, traceroute, speed test and subnet calculator in dedicated windows, without leaving the app.
  • CVE browser. Look up known vulnerabilities for the device type, operating system or vendor in your home, with explanations in your language.
  • Built-in router web panel. Opens router administration in an embedded window without hunting for the gateway IP.

Free and Pro model

Scanning and the device list are free. Advanced features — topology, router audit, AI reports and the CVE browser — are part of the Pro unlock, available both as an App Store purchase and as a web license at scanner.net-analyzer.com, so you can pick whichever channel you prefer.

Availability

It is in active development and will be announced on this site first. If you already use Net-Analyzer on your phone, the Mac version shares the same philosophy: local data, zero accounts and readable results without being a network engineer.
